Why it matters
The three kings present their gifts to the Christ Child in this triptych, which Fra Jose de Siguenza described in 1605 as an 'Epiphany without any extravaganza', unlike Bosch's other work. The donors appear on the side panels.

- It was commissioned around 1494 by Peeter Scheyfve and Agnes de Gramme of Antwerp.
